Judge rejects efforts from Mark Meadows, Jeffrey Clark to block Georgia arrests

A federal judge on Wednesday rejected bids from former Trump officials Mark Meadows and Jeffrey Clark to block their arrests in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's election case.
Willis has indicted former President Donald Trump, Meadows, Clark, and 16 others on charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). The probe largely pertains to Trump and his allies' efforts to challenge the 2020 presidential election results in the Peach State.
Meadows and Clark have attempted to move their cases to federal court and sought to block state proceedings amid the effort, with U.S. District Judge Stee Jones on Wednesday denied in separate rulings, The Hill reported.
Willis objected to the requests from the pair and has given all of the defendants until Friday to surrender themselves voluntarily. Trump, for his part, has announced he will surrender himself on Thursday.
