A jury in U.S. District Court ordered the NFL to pay damages of almost $4.8 billion on Thursday after ruling that the league had violated antitrust laws with “Sunday Ticket” programming.

The NFL distributed Sunday afternoon games on a premium service that required a subscription, which the lawsuit alleged was a violation of antitrust laws.

According to the lawsuit, the programming was sold through partners at an inflatable price, the Associated Press reported.

The jury on Thursday provided $4.7 billion to the residential class and $96 million to the commercial class.

The NFL has vowed to appeal the verdict.
