Justice Ginsburg discharged from hospital
Ginsburg was reportedly being treated for an infection
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released Wednesday from a hospital after staying overnight to be treated for a possible infection, according to several news reports.
The 87-year-old Ginsberg has recently had a series of health-related setbacks.
She was admitted early Tuesday to The Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, Maryland, early this morning. The high court said Ginsburg was initially evaluated the night before at Sibley Memorial Hospital, in Washington, D.C., after experiencing fever and chills.
She underwent an endoscopic procedure at Hopkins to clean out a bile duct stent that was placed last August.
"The Justice is resting comfortably and will stay in the hospital for a few days to receive intravenous antibiotic treatment," the press release also stated.
