A drugmaker that produces and distributes the abortion medication Mifepristone has asked the Supreme Court to intervene after a federal appeals court restricted how the drug can be prescribed. 

The company, Danco Laboratories, based in Delaware, filed an emergency request on Saturday asking the justices to temporarily block the lower court’s decision, which bars doctors from prescribing the medication via telehealth or sending it by mail, while the appeal is under review.
