Supreme Court rejects RFK Jr.'s bid to remove himself from ballots in swing states
The Supreme Court did not state a reason for the rejection, but Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch dissented in the Michigan ruling.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s bid to remove himself from the ballots in Wisconsin and Michigan ahead of next week's election.
Kennedy suspended his presidential bid earlier this year and endorsed former President Donald Trump. The states had argued that removing a candidate when early voting has already begun would be impossible, but Kennedy argued that keeping him on violated his First Amendment rights.
The Supreme Court did not state a reason for the rejection, but Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch dissented in the Michigan ruling, according to the Associated Press.
