Trump vows 'complete exoneration' in GA case, says he will unveil 'conclusive' fraud report
Faced with his fourth indictment, Trump has vowed to prove his case next week by publishing his evidence.
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday vowed that he would publish a report detailing election fraud in Georgia next week, saying that the evidence would vindicate him in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's election case.
Willis on Monday indicted Trump and 18 of his political allies in connection with Trump's efforts to challenge the 2020 election results in the Peach State. Trump has maintained he was the legitimate victor of the contest and insists President Joe Biden carried the state due to election fraud.
Faced with his fourth indictment, Trump has vowed to prove his case next week by publishing his evidence.
"A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey," he posted on Truth Social. "Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others - There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election. They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!"
Trump was unable to successfully challenge the results in Georgia, though his upcoming report may be an effort to win public opinion as much as to defend himself legally.
The former president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and contends that Willis's case is part of a broader political witch hunt designed to stop his return to the White House in the 2024 election.
