Tucker Carlson: Feds 'obviously' going to indict Trump

Tucker Carlson said on Monday that the Department of Justice or one of the executive agencies under its purview is 'obviously' going to indict former President Donald Trump following the FBI's raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate last week.

The Fox News host said the administration would attempt to downplay their efforts against Trump and that moderate Republicans would fall in line "when the Biden Justice Department or some other state agency under their influence finally does what you know they’re going to do, and that’s indict Donald Trump. Obviously they’re going to do that."

“Who knows how, maybe they’ll produce surveillance video from Mar-a-Lago," he speculated. "Apparently they’ve already subpoenaed that.”

FBI agents with the Washington Field Office last Monday raided Trump's Florida home seeking classified documents he may have removed from the White House. The same field office has faced whistleblower accusations about political bias allegedly shown by senior agents in their handling of politically sensitive investigations. An additional 14 whistleblowers have contacted Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan's office with concerns about the Bureau's conduct since the raid, Jordan confirmed.

Republicans have overwhelmingly denounced the FBI raid, demanding transparency from federal law enforcement and vowing to investigate the effort should they win the majority of either chamber in the midterm elections. Outrage against the FBI has prompted some to take violent action.

An armed man attempted to breach a Cincinnati FBI office leading to his death following a chase and a shootout. Meanwhile, the DOJ announced on Monday that it had arrested and charged another individual for making threatening posts against the Bureau's agents on the social media platform Gab.

Carlson went on to address Trump's calls for calm following the rise in threats against federal agents, saying "you can feel it, even Donald Trump feels it. Maybe for the first time in his life, Donald Trump seems sincerely interested in lowering the temperature, not only for his own sake, but for the country’s."

"This could get very bad, very fast," Carlson asserted, before claiming that Democrats were using law enforcement to maintain a grip on power in the face of voter repudiation of their policies. "Pray they pull back before it's too late," he concluded.
