The jury in Harvey Weinstein’s sexual-assault trial informed the New York Supreme Court Judge James Burke on Friday that members have not reached consensus on key charges against the famous Hollywood producer.

Jury members inquired about whether they could return unanimous verdicts on some counts while remaining hung on one or two counts of predatory assault.

Weinstein’s lawyers were open to an incomplete verdict but prosecutors were not, which resulted in the judge saying he would not permit such a split decision.

The case stems from allegations from at least two women and the accounts from several witnesses. More than 80 women came forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Weinstein that purportedly occurred over decades.

The jurors will return Monday for their fifth day of deliberations.

"It is not uncommon for a jury to believe they will never reach a unanimous verdict but on further deliberation, they are often able to reach a unanimous verdict," Judge Burke said to the courtroom.

Weinstein claims that any sexual activities were consensual.

The defendant is also charged with first-degree rape, third-degree rape and a criminal sex act.
