Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who was detained and jailed in Russia on espionage charges more than one year ago, will stand trial in Yekaterinburg, according to Russia’s Prosecutor General’s office on Thursday.
Russian prosecutors have have accused Gershkovich of "gathering secret information" for the Central Intelligence Agency about Uralvagonzavod, which produces and repairs military equipment, according to the Associated Press.
It is unclear when his trial will begin.
