President-elect Trump nominates Callista Gingrich to be next US ambassador to Switzerland

President-elect Donald Trump has nominates Callista Gingrich to be next U.S. ambassador to Switzerland.

Gingrich is the wife of former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich and was the the United States' ambassador to the Vatican during the first Trump administration

“Callista previously served, with distinction, as my Ambassador to the Holy See," Trump posted Sunday on Truth Social. "During her tenure, Callista worked to advance and defend international religious freedom, combat human trafficking, and provide humanitarian assistance around the World.”
