The North American Aerospace Defense Command said Tuesday that Russian warplanes were flying off the coast of Alaska and were being tracked by the U.S. military.

NORAD made it clear that the planes were not a threat and that they did not go into Canadian or American airspace. 

But tensions and accusations are heating up over the war between Russia and Ukraine. Zelensky appeared on CBS' 60 Minutes where he invited President Trump to come to Ukraine and accused VP Vance of "somehow justifying Putin's actions."

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff said Monday that he “finally” got an answer to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s demands for peace during their meeting last week in Moscow, though he didn't announce what those demands were.
