Zelensky replaces top general in Ukraine's war with Russia

The replacement of Army Cmdr. Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was reported over Ukraine's failed country offensive against Russia.

Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky on Thursday fired his top general in the country's war with Russia and replaced him with a top field commander.

The replacement of Army Cmdr. Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was reported over Ukraine's failed country offensive against Russia. 

Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, and the conflict has persisted to the present with no signs of ending in the near future.
