The U.S. Justice Department agreed to a $138.7 million settlement on Tuesday with more than 100 people who had accused the FBI of botching an investigation into allegations of sexual assault against former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar in 2015 and 2016.
According to the Associated Press, a total of $1 billion has now been set aside by "various organizations to compensate hundreds of women who said Nassar assaulted them under the guise of treatment for sports injuries."
