This rule would require the broadcasters to keep track of race and gender of their employees and then post it publicly.

Brendan Carr, who was appointed to the Federal Communications Commission under former President Donald Trump, blasted the proposed rule on the social media platform, X.
He argued in a thread that this proposed rule would violate the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
"Activists lobbied for this b/c they want to see businesses pressured into hiring people based on their race & gender," Carr wrote. "Courts have already overturned the FCC *twice* for pressuring broadcasters into making hiring decisions in violation of the Constitution."
"The Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires that the government keep this type of data confidential when it is collected by the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission," he added.
