"Organizations like ISIS may seek to exploit increased gatherings associated with the upcoming June 2024 Pride Month," the announcement said. 

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security warned in a recent joint public service announcement circulated on Monday that foreign terrorist organizations could target "LGBTQIA+-related events and venues" during 2024 Pride Month, which is celebrated in June.

"Organizations like ISIS may seek to exploit increased gatherings associated with the upcoming June 2024 Pride Month," the announcement said.

"FTO efforts to commit or inspire violence against holiday celebrations, including Pride celebrations or LGBTQIA+-related venues, are compounded by the current heightened threat environment in the United States and other western countries," the announcement also said.
