Former VA Secretary O'Rourke slams Biden and Harris, says veterans are doing worse under them
"That's what they have chosen for veterans, is that they have no choice," Peter O'Rourke said.
Former Acting U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Peter O'Rourke slammed the Biden administration for the condition of the department, stating that veterans don't have as much proper care as they need.
"We still have veterans that need their health care, that need to have access to care," O'Rourke said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They've [Biden and Harris] decided they don't want that."
He accused the administration of going against the VA Mission Act, which was made to "give more veterans access to medical care, whether inside or outside the VA."
O'Rourke said that both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris need to own the fact that they are taking that opportunity away from veterans.
"That's what they have chosen for veterans, is that they have no choice," he said.
He predicted veterans will start paying attention to these issues prior to the next election in November.
