The organization behind Project 2025 is planning to spend $1 million on a campaign to put pressure on GOP senators hesitant to vote to confirm Pete Hegseth, President-elect Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense.

A police report containing sexual assault allegations has resulted in backlash against Hegseth's nomination.

Roberts argued that the establishment is trying to stop Hegseth.

“It’ll be messaging right now with their constituents about how out of step they are with the Trump agenda,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said, according to the Associated Press.
