White House border czar Tom Homan said federal authorities have a "strong case" in their investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., concerning allegations of immigration fraud.

Homan told Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show" on Saturday that if Omar violated the law, she could be deported.

"Of course, if you lie during the naturalization process, there is a process to denaturalize somebody. We've done it before," Homan said.

The federal investigation is looking into allegations that Omar or her father lied about her birth year on immigration paperwork to obtain her citizenship when her family fled Somalia in the late 1990s.

Homan said that he didn't want to "get ahead" of the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations probe, but he's been told have a "strong case" in the matter.

"We'll let the evidence lead where it leads," he said.
