Kash Patel, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, claimed on Wednesday that the agency had arrested 113 active spies from foreign countries. 

The claim was made in a post on X that featured a video promoting the FBI's work. The video also claims that counterintelligence arrests increased 53%, though it didn't say what time period the increase happened. 

"It means our tech stays home, and our defense systems stay locked down," the video's narrator states.

The video also claims the FBI forced the removal of 62 Chinese spies in 2026, which "shattered Beijing's deep-cover operations." 

Additionally, the video claims the FBI made 4,800 arrests of drug cartel members, and stopped 850 "plotters." The agency also claimed to have produced a 77% increase in cyber indictments. 

"That means the hospitals your family relies on, the banks holding your savings, and the local power grids keeping your lights on are completely locked down and defended," the narrator said.
