USPS planning to raise holiday shipping rates in October

The higher pricing will begin on Oct. 5 if the new rates are approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission.

USPS is planning to raise holiday mail rates in October, according to an announcement in a news release.

The higher pricing will begin on Oct. 5 if the new rates are approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission.

The new rates would last until Jan. 18, 2026, according to a USPS news release Friday

A rate increase was previously approved for the 2024 holiday season.
