Former Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake called for GOP primary presidential candidates to speak out against the political persecution against former President Trump during the primary debate.

"I think that they should come out, truly and immediately speak about President Trump and how what's happening is a witch hunt," Lake said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "It's unacceptable that our government has been weaponized against him, and it's the most egregious case of election interference we've ever seen in our country."

Trump is currently facing four indictments, with two of them being federal.

Reports indicate that the 45th president is expected to surrender on Thursday in the Fulton County indictment in Georgia.

"I really believe that they should speak up for President Trump and speak out against what's happening in Washington D.C., in these other municipalities where Biden's cronies are weaponizing their either state government, local government or federal government to go after the man that America wants to see as our next president," Lake later said.

She referred to the Republican primary as a sideshow and said the GOP needs to unite behind Trump to defeat President Biden in 2024.

"President Trump's been talking about this," Lake said. "He's ready to move on to the general election and having this–it's really a sideshow, because it's not serious. These these guys are not serious candidates."

"They don't have a shot to win," she continued. "It's draining resources that we Republicans really need to put into the general election and start going after Joe Biden. There's a lot to go after him on."
