$10k reward being offered by police for information on suspect who killed a Maryland judge
The suspect police are looking for is 49-year-old Pedro Argote, who allegedly was connected to the killing of the judge.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect who may have murdered a Maryland judge earlier this week.
The suspect police are looking for is 49-year-old Pedro Argote, who allegedly is connected to the killing of Judge Andrew Wilkinson, according to NBC News.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service, Argote should be considered armed and dangerous. He also allegedly has ties to other states, including New York, Florida and Indiana.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland announced that Circuit Court Judge Wilkinson was found with gunshot wounds around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Wilkinson, who was 52, was taken to the hospital where he died.
Wilkinson was the judge who oversaw Argote’s divorce case which was filed last year. He granted Argote's ex-wife a full divorce and sole custody of their four minor children just hours before the shooting took place.
Argote's ex-wife also filed a domestic violence petition against him, alleging that he had abused one of their daughters.
