The Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton, N.J. sponsored a book reading for children that discusses "moving beyond the gender binary.”

The book, “My Shadow is Purple,” portrays a child who doesn't identify as male nor female.

The reading was held at the Hamilton Township Public Library in Hamilton, New Jersey, according to The Daily Wire website.

According to the book's Amazon page, the book is about "being true to yourself and moving beyond the gender binary.”

The Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton has not commented publicly on its decision to host the reading of the book.
