Philadelphia police officer killed in airport shooting
There is an ongoing investigation regarding the suspects who shot the officers.
One police officer was killed and another injured in a shooting late Thursday night at the Philadelphia International Airport.
Local officials said the incident happened just after 11 p.m. when officers observed multiple suspects attempting to break into vehicles, according to ABC 6.
Interim Commissioner John Stanford said that when police intervened the suspects opened fire.
"This is a numb moment for us to again encounter something like this," he said during a press briefing. "We just had three officers shot last week."
The identity of the officers as of Friday morning has yet to be identified by authorities.
