Transgender male arrested and charged after threatening to shoot up elementary school in Iowa

Iowa police arrested and charged a 19-year-old transgender male on Monday with making threats of terrorism after expressing a desire to shoot up an elementary school, according to a Norwalk Police Department announcement.

Police said in a news release that they became away of a possible threat to Oviatt Elementary School in Norwalk, Iowa and eventually arrested Margaret Anderson, a female who identifies as a male who goes by Maxwell.

Anderson, who processed into the Warren County Jail, is being held without bond.

Warren County Attorney Doug Eichholz confirmed that Anderson is a transgender male, according to a Daily Wire report on Tuesday.
