Federal authorities are investigating whether the Turkish government or Turkish citizens illegally funneled donations into Adams’ campaign in exchange for the Democrat mayor providing political favors, according to the New York Post.
The fund as very specific rules including a maximum $5,000 donation outside of the normal campaign cycle, and the names and addresses of donors must be reported to the city’s Conflicts of Interest Board.
