Arizona GOP Senate candidate Sheriff Mark Lamb says border, crime, and economy are top 2024 issues
Lamb is Pinal County's sheriff and has prioritized tighter border security, ending the fentanyl crisis and supporting law enforcement as issues for his Senate campaign.
Arizona GOP Senate candidate Sheriff Mark Lamb said that he's been talking to voters around the Grand Canyon state and the top three issues they are concerned about are the border, the economy, and crime.
"There's three issues that come to the surface every time," Lamb said on the Friday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "And that's the border. That's crime. And that's the economy."
Lamb said that crime has been a major concern in Arizona due to criminals not being held accountable and being free to roam the streets.
"We're seeing the rising crime because of a lot of these cities where they're not holding people accountable and they're not enforcing the rule of law, and that is spilling over into other great states, red states, and places where we do believe in the rule of law," he said.
Lamb is Pinal County's sheriff and has prioritized tighter border security, ending the fentanyl crisis, and supporting law enforcement as issues for his Senate campaign.
Arizona's Senate Republican primary already has at least two other declared candidates: consultant George Nicholson and engineer Brian Wright.
It has also been reported that former 2022 GOP Senate candidate Blake Masters may run for Senate again. The race will likely be a three-way race between incumbent Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, the GOP nominee, and the Democratic nominee.
Lamb said that he believes that he is the kind of person Arizonans will want to represent them in Washington D.C.
"They want a proven conservative fighter that they know is going to come out and tell them the truth, and that's what I've made my career on," he said.
