Federal government set to deploy high-tech drone detection system to NY as experts remain baffled

The Biden admin is being accused of either deceit for knowing what they are but refusing to say, or of incompetence for not being able to figure it out.

After weeks of saying publicly that they couldn’t explain the sudden surge of drones and other unidentified flying objects over New Jersey, New York, California and several other states, federal officials are finally preparing to deploy a high-tech drone detection system to New York State.

The drones that comprise the detection system will ostensibly help both state and local law enforcement figure out what has been going on over the past month or so, said New York Governor Kathy Hochul on Sunday, according to the New York Post

“We are grateful to the Biden Administration for their support, but ultimately we need further assistance from Congress. Passing the Counter-UAS Authority Security, Safety, and Reauthorization Act will give New York and our peers the authority and resources required to respond to circumstances like we face today,” she said.

This announcement comes a day after former CIA operations officer Laura Ballman called for more transparency and speculated on what this might be during an appearance on Fox News Saturday: “Now in terms of who is behind this, deducing the statements that have been made by John Kirby, who has said that these objects are not operating illegally coupled with the several op-eds that have been out the last 24 hours about the need to look at our detection systems, makes me think, perhaps, this is actually a classified exercise to test either evasion technology or detection technology in urban areas.”

Up until now, the Biden administration’s position has been that many of the objects seen are piloted aircraft, though they couldn’t explain the rest. Yet they assured the public they weren’t a threat or coming from a foreign country such as Iran.

They have been accused of either deceit for knowing what they are and where they came from but refusing to say, or of incompetence for not being able to figure it out.

President-elect Donald Trump expressed his skepticism on Friday and suggested a plan: “Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!! DJT” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
