Republicans on the House Committee on Homeland Security requested information from the Department of Homeland Security on three Palestinian terror suspects that entered the U.S. illegally.

“These recent arrests highlight a systemic pattern in the rise of known or suspected terrorists attempting to, and successfully, crossing the Southwest border," Four GOP chairmen wrote in the letter to Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The signatories were Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement Chairman Clay Higgins, Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability Chairman Dan Bishop, and Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Chairman August Pfluger.

According to a report from the New York Post last month, three Palestinian migrants were detained by border patrol agents after they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.

They reportedly had ties to terrorist organizations but as of now it is not clear which groups they have ties to.

Border Patrol agents also detained a migrant from Turkey who reportedly had terrorist ties.

“We are facing more than just a border crisis – this is a full-blown national security catastrophe, brought on by President Biden and ‘border czar’ Harris’ blatant refusal to secure the borders and enforce the laws," Green told NewsNation.

The committee gave DHS until Aug. 27 to give over the information about the migrants.
