At least 22 Americans dead in Israel following Hamas terror attacks, as total death toll over 1,200
Secretary of State Antony Blinken is traveling to Israel on Wednesday to reaffirm U.S. support for the country.
At least 22 U.S. citizens were killed after Hamas terrorists brutally attacked Israel, the State Department said Wednesday, as the overall death toll from Saturday's invasion is more than 1,200, marking the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust.
"At this time, we can confirm the deaths of at least 22 US citizens. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and to the families of all those affected," the State Department said, according to The Independent. The number of Americans who were killed was 14 on Tuesday.
In addition to the 22 U.S. citizens who were killed, numerous others remain missing after Hamas also kidnapped dozens of people.
