Military confirms 9 service members dead in Fort Campbell helicopter training incident

The military on Thursday confirmed that nine service members died in a training incident involving two Blackhawk helicopters out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The two Blackhawks with the 101st Airborne Division crashed during the training incident around 10 p.m. Wednesday evening, Fort Campbell Public Affairs Director Brendalyn Carpenter-Player told Fox News Digital.
"Right now the focus is on the Soldiers and their families who were involved," the 101st Airborne Division tweeted from its official account.
The helicopters crashed during a routine training mission in Trigg County, and all service members on the aircrafts perished, officials said.
The incident is currently being investigated, the military also said.
