Smuggling tunnel found in the border wall in El Paso, Texas
The tunnel is reportedly six feet tall and four feet wide.
A smuggling tunnel was recently discovered in a section of the U.S.-Mexico border wall in El Paso, Texas, authorities say.
State and federal border protection agencies along with officials from Mexico conducted a joint operation last week in which they found a man-made tunnel that likely is used to smuggle people into the country.
A spokesperson for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in El Paso said the tunnel starts in Juarez, Mexico, and goes to the El Paso side of the border, according to local media.
The tunnel is reportedly 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
CBP El Paso spokesperson Claudio Herrera-Baeza said the finding was "historic" and requested if the public knew anything about the tunnel to report it to the department.
