The Department of Homeland Security on Monday touted its latest "worst of the worst" roundup, highlighting the most nefarious and dangerous criminal illegal aliens detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Though Trump administration officials have made clear that all illegal aliens are subject to deportation, the DHS has also heavily prioritized the arrest and deportation of illegal aliens with prior criminal convictions. The "worst of the worst" roundups have repeatedly featured gang and cartel members, murderers, child sex offenders, rapists, and many other violent offenders. Monday's roundup saw nearly every category represented.

As of late January, DHS reportedly nearly 700,000 physical deportations and roughly 2.2 million self-deportations, for a total of nearly 3 million departures since Trump returned to office.

“The heroic men and women of ICE never take a day off, even over the weekend. Thanks to our law enforcement, we have fewer murderers, child predators, and gang members on our streets,” said Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Under President Trump, if you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you and arrest you. The safety of the American people comes FIRST.”
