The Biden administration is expected to announce its final aid package to Ukraine in the coming days, according to news reports.

Sources told Reuters that the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative package would be worth about $1.2 billion.

The package will include artillery munition and air defense interceptors.

This is expected to be the last aid package to Ukraine sent from the administration, as President-elect Donald Trump will take office next month.

The U.S. has been financially supporting Ukraine after it was invaded by Russia in 2022, resulting in the ongoing war.

Kyiv was hit with a Russian ballistic missile attack early Friday morning, resulting in one death and nine injured.

Moscow officials have come out and said this attack was a response to an Ukraine attack on Russian soil that uses weapons made in the United States.
