Former President Joe Biden left Washington, D.C., on Monday by helicopter, ending a roughly 50-year political career and leaving behind a complicated legacy.
The Marine Corps aircraft took Biden and former first lady Jill Biden to a nearby military airbase, from which they will journey back to Delaware.
