President Joe Biden is expected to visit parts of Florida that were hit by Hurricane Milton, the White House announced on Friday.

He is going to visit the Sunshine State on Sunday, The Hill reports.

Biden is expected to assess the damage the storm caused Florida residents. Milton left millions of people without power and massive flooding.

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday during a press conference that the counties that have the most significant storm outages are Hillsboro, Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota.

It is not clear if DeSantis and Biden will meet in person on Wednesday, however they have been in communication amid the storm.

Milton started out as a Category 5 storm but was later downgraded to a Category 1.
