President Biden is in “good spirits” after undergoing a procedure and routine physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, according to the White House.

"@POTUS spoke with @VP and @WHCOS at approximately 11:35am this morning. @POTUS was in good spirits and at that time resumed his duties," White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted. "He will remain at Walter Reed as he completes the rest of his routine physical."

Biden's original schedule, released Thursday evening, showed that he would be participating in the annual Turkey pardoning ceremony at the White House and then traveling to Wilmington, Delaware.

In the morning on Friday, the White House announced Biden would be visiting Walter Reed for a colonoscopy.

The updated official schedule for Biden showed that he would be departing Walter Reed National Military Medical Center en route the White House at a "TDB PM" time and arriving at the White House at "TBD PM."

Biden returned to the White House in the afternoon and later participated in the annual turkey pardon ceremony before heading to Delaware.

The White House released a memo from Biden’s visit to Walter Reed. His physician said the president "remains fit for duty, and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations."
