Bidens earned nearly $620K in 2023 and paid about $147K in taxes, according to released return

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden earned $619,976 in 2023 and paid $146,629 in federal income tax, according to their joint tax return that the White House released on Monday, April 15, the last day for Americans to file tax returns.

The couple's federal income tax rate for 2023 was 23.7%. Their return included $20,477 in charitable contributions to 17 organizations including the Beau Biden Foundation, named after the president’s son who passed away as well as St. Joseph on the Brandywine Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff made $450,299 in 2023, according to the tax return that the White House released. Harris and Emhoff paid $88,570 in federal income tax, which translated to a 19.7% tax rate.

They contributed $23,026 to charities and other organizations last year, including Howard University, the University of Southern California and DC Central Kitchen.
