Two Democratic congressman criticized President Biden for pardoning his son Hunter, who was scheduled to be sentenced in his federal gun case on Wednesday.

In September, he pled guilty to tax evasion charges.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colo., wrote in an X post that he thinks the pardon sets a "bad precedent that could be abused by later presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation."

Rep. Greg Stanton, D-Ariz., said Biden's son "committed felonies, and was convicted by a jury of his peers."

Stanton said it "wasn’t a politically-motivated prosecution" and the president "got this one wrong."
