Fauci say won't attend White House Correspondents' Dinner amid COVID-19 concerns

As of Wednesday, President Biden, 79, was still planning to attend the annual black tie event.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden's top medical adviser, has decided not to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night in Washington, D.C., amid COVID-19 concerns.

The decision by the 81-year-old Fauci, the federal government's top infectious disease expert, was first reported by CNN. 

As of Wednesday, Biden, 79, was still planning to attend the annual black tie event, canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the virus.
