Former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton announced Tuesday that she is launching a new podcast with former CNN host Kara Swisher that will go through next month's midterm elections.

Clinton will co-host “High Stakes” with Swisher and it will be produced by Vox Media. The podcast will be distributed through the same feed as Swisher’s “On” podcast.

“On Nov. 3, every seat in the House is on the ballot, along with 35 Senate seats and 36 governors,” Clinton said in a video. “What you pay for groceries, rent and healthcare is on the line. So I’m teaming up with Kara Swisher to dig into the issues that matter most before the country heads to the polls.”

The idea for the podcast comes after Swisher and Clinton met in Washington’s upscale Kalorama neighborhood at the home of former Atlantic owner David Bradley. The two did a test run in August when Clinton filled in for Swisher’s regular “Pivot” co-host, Scott Galloway.

“There’s a thing about the secretary, where it’s like, ‘Oh, if you knew her in the room, she’s so funny,’” Swisher told the New York Times. “We’re going to try to show you that room.”

Vox Media CEO Jim Bankoff said although political podcasts can be a tough sell, Swisher and Clinton have everything they need to make the program successful.

“The way the media business works is, you have audience, you have buzz, you do quality work, and you’ll have a successful offering,” Bankoff said. “We have all those elements here.”

Clinton said that if the audience is still interested after the midterms, she would consider continuing it. She also claimed that some Democrats have asked her to campaign for them and to help them with their own campaigns.

“One of the things people try to do is split the Democratic Party, and that’s fine,” Mrs. Clinton said. “It’s fine to have differences, and it’s fine to argue. Nobody’s afraid of the argument.”
