Hunter Biden's artwork to be featured alongside world-renowned abstract painters
Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) previously said Biden's art sales need to be studied to ensure that they are not part of a larger money laundering scheme.
Hunter Biden's artwork will be featured alongside world-renowned abstract painters in an exhibition opening this week in New York City.
The "Bridging the Abstract" group exhibition will open in Soho's Georges Berges Gallery on April 6, and it will feature works of art from President Joe Biden's son as well as art greats such as Elaine de Kooning and Helen Frankenthaler.
Gallery owner Georges Berges has showcased Hunter Biden's works before. Biden's art has reportedly been priced between $75,000 and $500,000, sparking ethics concerns from congressional Republicans.
Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) previously said Biden's art sales need to be studied to ensure that they are not part of a larger money laundering scheme.
Frankenthaler's art has been featured in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and her works have sold for millions of dollars, according to auctioneer Sothebys. She passed away in 2011 and her career spanned six decades.
De Kooning, who was married to Dutch-American artist Willem de Kooning until her death in 1989, is best known for her painting of President John Kennedy, which hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in D.C.
