A staffer for Kamala Harris was mocked after attempting to defend the vice president on social media, seemingly in response to a scathing story by the Washington Post over the weekend which detailed the California Democrat bullying staffers with "soul-destroying criticism."

The day after the report, the VP's Deputy Director for Operations David Gins tweeted a photo of himself staring at a computer screen in an office. "Absolutely love my job. Just thought some of you should know," he wrote.

Gins' LinkedIn profile lists previously working with the Georgia Democratic Party, Joe Biden for President and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.).

Christina Pushaw, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis' press secretary, responded to Gin's tweet, "Thousand yard stare" with a photo zoomed in on the VP staffer's face.

"Blink twice if you need us to get you," conservative commentator Bethany Mandel replied.

One Twitter user posted a photo zoomed in on the computer cables in the photo, adding the caption, "Bro, you can't even manage your cables! How can you direct operations?"

Political comedian Tim Young said the tweet "sounds like a script from a hostage video."

Four staffers have left Harris' office in less than a year, which the Post report attributes to Harris' leadership style.

Earlier this month, Harris spokeswoman Symone Sanders became the third top-ranking communications official to leave the White House in less than two weeks.
