Musk says he would support U.S. withdrawing from United Nations, NATO

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, the head of President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, has thrown his support behind withdrawing from the from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the United Nations (UN).

In a post on Saturday night, Musk said he agreed with a post from X user @GuntherEagleman, who wrote: "It's time to leave NATO and the UN."

"I agree," Musk responded.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has said the U.S. should leave NATO.

"Get us out of NATO," Lee wrote in an X post on Saturday.

Lee said the alliance is a “great deal for Europe” but a “raw deal for America.”
