President Biden during a speech on Wednesday called for all employers to provide employees, if they need it, with paid time off to get vaccinated and paid time off to recuperate if they feel unwell after receiving the vaccine.

"I'm calling on every employer, large and small, in every state, to give employees the time off they need, with pay, to get vaccinated and any time they need with pay to recover if they're feeling under the weather after the shot. No working American should lose a single dollar from their paycheck because they chose to fulfill their patriotic duty of getting vaccinated," Biden said.

The president said employers with under 500 employees can be reimbursed for supplying workers with paid leave to get vaccinated and recuperate if they experience any side effects.

"The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) allows small and midsize employers, and certain governmental employers, to claim refundable tax credits that reimburse them for the cost of providing paid sick and family leave to their employees due to COVID-19, including leave taken by employees to receive or recover from COVID-19 vaccinations," according to the IRS

Biden during his speech also touted that when vaccination figures are released on Thursday, they will indicate that on Wednesday the nation reached the milestone of 200 million vaccine shots during his less than 100 days in office.
