President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that illegal migrants separated at the border under former President Donald Trump will not receive monetary compensation due to their separation.

According to CNN, the president made the announcement during a press conference about Pfizer's vaccine being approved for children ages 5-11.

Previously, reports were made that some of the migrants would receive hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Justice Department as compensation for their separation.

However, Biden called these reports "garbage."

"It's not true," Biden said when asked by a reporter about the issue.

The announcement comes after the ACLU filed a lawsuit demanding the government compensate those impacted by the Trump administration's separation policy.
