President Joe Biden's son Hunter reportedly still owns a stake in a Chinese private equity firm more than three months into his father's presidency and after Joe Biden himself had claimed such arrangements would not happen under his administration.

Hunter still "holds a 10% equity stake in BHR Partners through his company, Skaneateles LLC,” the Daily Caller reported this week.

Hunter Biden's involvement with Bohai Harvest RST has stirred controversy since last year due to its involvement in at least one international acquisitions deal between a U.S. holding and a Chinese state-owned firm.

BHR is also partly owned by the Bank of China, a state-run financial institution.

In October 2019, then-candidate Joe Biden pledged that, if he were elected president, no one in his family would "have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country … Period. End of story."
