President Donald Trump departed Knoxville, Tennessee, for Washington on Saturday afternoon after attending the University of Texas-Tennessee football game, as senators face a final opportunity to advance the Protect College Sports Act before leaving Washington for the lame-duck period.

Trump arrived in Knoxville Saturday morning to watch the top-ranked Texas Longhorns take on the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers.

Air Force One flew over the stadium to cheers, according to video posted online. 

The president left the stadium and boarded Air Force One at about 2:30 p.m., with the game still underway in the third quarter.
