The dinner will take place on April 26 and was supposed to feature comedian Amber Ruffin.
However, association President, Eugene Daniels said that Ruffin would no longer be at the event and that he wants to ensure that the focus isn't on political division, but rather awarding journalists for their hard work.

Trump's decision not to attend the dinner this year is due to tensions between the press and the West Wing, The Hill newspaper reports.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt won't be at the dinner either, according to the news outlet Axios.
