Trump to meet with French President Macron at White House

Macron and Trump will meet around noon and have a joint press conference afterwards at 2 p.m. EST.

President Donald Trump is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday at the White House. 

The two leaders are expected to discuss the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as well as Trump's proposed tariffs on the European Union, according to NBC News.

France is a member of the European Union, which has warned it would respond "firmly" if Trump imposes tariffs.

Macron and Trump will meet around noon and have a joint press conference afterwards at 2 p.m. EST.

Other leaders Trump has met with since taking office include Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
